Use your computer features to find your last updates.

Computer updates are extra pieces of information added via computer code to existing software. Updates enhance a computer's performance or a person's security program, for example. Service packs are one example of an update provided by product software companies such as IBM and Microsoft, two popular companies that also give consumers access to troubleshooting assistance. Even the most proficient computer user might need help with common update problems, so use your computer features to find the last updates.

Step 2

Click on the "View update history" located at the top left-hand side of the window. It will give you a list of updates. View additional details about the last updates on your computer. Single-click on one item, right-click it and choose "View Details." A new window will appear with information about the time and date you last installed an update. Step 5

Scroll through your list of updates. Your computer will most likely organize the last updates on your computer by type. Most systems will have the Microsoft .NET Framework updates at the top of the screen. Read the right column headed "Installation" or "Insta..." Click on the drop-down arrow right next to it to have your computer arrange the updates in ascending or descending order. You can also organize your last updates according to date as well.
