How Do I Find a Bluetooth Address?

If you need the Bluetooth address of one of your devices, you can get it from the Device Manager in Windows. The hexadecimal address contains 12 alphanumeric characters. You don't need to connect the device to the laptop or computer to get the Bluetooth address; Windows remembers all devices that were paired with your PC.

You can get the Bluetooth address of your Android or iOS devices from the About section of the Settings menu.

Getting the Bluetooth Address From Windows

Press Windows-X -- or right-click the Windows logo in Desktop view -- to display the Power User menu and select Device Manager to launch the utility.

Expand the Bluetooth node by clicking the small arrow next to it to display all Bluetooth devices that were paired with your computer.

Unless you removed the device manually, Windows remembers it and displays it in the Bluetooth section.

Right-click the Bluetooth device and select Properties from the context menu to display the Properties dialog.

Switch to the Details tab, select Bluetooth Device Address from the Property drop-down box and then locate the address in the Value box. The address must contain 12 alphanumerical characters.

Getting the Bluetooth Address of Android or iOS Devices

Android

To find the Bluetooth address of your Android device, open the App drawer and tap Settings. Tap About Phone -- or About Tablet if your device is a tablet computer -- and then tap Status. The address is displayed in the Bluetooth Address field.

iOS

To get the Bluetooth address of your iOS device, tap Settings on the home screen, tap General and then tap About. The address is displayed in the Bluetooth section.
